2026 Schools Competition Winners
17 schools entered our competition this year, and we discovered the overall standard of garden entries to be better than ever. This year's theme was "Food for Nature ... Food for Me", which was embraced by all the schools, from vegetables in raised beds to wall planters, a sensory garden, ponds, and even a school allotment. Well done to everyone involved.
The schools were rewarded for their efforts with certificates and prizes presented by The Mayor of Guildford, Cllr Jane Tyson, on 1st July at Edwins Garden Centre in Clandon. She said: "As Mayor, one of my greatest pleasures is seeing young people surprise us with their creativity and ideas. The Guildford in Bloom schools awards were a wonderful celebration of imagination, teamwork and care for our environment. Every child who took part has helped our borough bloom in more ways than one.”
Many congratulations to Gosden House School - our Overall Winner for 2026
